Compared with the light and floral-driven style of Fuding Silver Needle, Zhenghe Silver Needle shows a calmer, more restrained profile, emphasising structure and steady sweetness over immediate aromatic lift. Its style favours balance, refinement, and long-term drinkability.

The dry tea consists mainly of plump, upright buds evenly covered with fine white down, showing a silver-white colour with hints of tender green. The brewed liquor is light golden and clear. The aroma centres on a distinct downy fragrance with soft soybean-milk sweetness and subtle grain notes, while floral tones remain understated. The palate is clean, gently sweet, and smooth, with a fine yet supportive texture and a lingering, pure finish.

Origin

This tea comes from high-mountain tea gardens in Zhenghe, Nanping, Fujian, at an altitude of approximately 1,100 metres. The mild, humid mountain climate with frequent mist and clear day–night temperature variation supports slower growth and contributes to the tea’s stable, balanced character.

Picking & Production

Harvested in spring, only single buds are selected. The tea is produced following traditional white tea methods, with natural withering and low-temperature drying. No pan-firing or rolling is used, preserving the buds’ natural form and delicate character.
