This black tea is produced in Tongmu Village, Wuyishan City, in Fujian province by Zheng Shan Tang. The raw material is the tea buds from the selected tea garden whose sea level is above 1200-1500 meters. Only 28g Jin Jun Mei will be produced among 3400 to 4500 tea buds.
Tongmu Village is considered the best for growing Golden Eyebrow. It is highly recommended for those with a keen eye for quality.
The dry tea is symmetry and tight with plenty of golden fuzzy. The colour of it is gold alternating with black, black in the majority. The tea soup is clear transparent golden, with an obvious golden circle.
The taste of it is impressive. It has a compound aroma of fruit, flower and honey, with a long-lasting lingering aftertaste. That natural sweet lingers in the throat.

Their home – Wuyishan Nature Reserve has a subtropical monsoon climate. This very famous natural reserve, which is 96.3% forest, provides an advantageous natural environment for Golden Eyebrow. The average altitude of the main producing area is about 1,200 meters. For almost 120 days a year, it is misty. The annual average temperature is around 11–18°C and the average precipitation about 2,000mm. The soil pH is 4.5 to 5.

Transparent Pricing / True Cost of Jin Jun Mei
The raw material of Jin Jun Mei originates from the national nature reserve of Wuyi Mountain, and the altitude needs to be within the range of 1200-1500 to be authentic Jin Jun Mei.
Due to the reputation of Zheng Shan Tang in Tongmu, most of the tea farmers here will sell the tea green to Zheng Shan Tang.
Even so, the purchase price of a catty of fresh leaves is up to 900 yuan (RMB).
2.5kg of fresh leaves makes 500gram of dry tea.
This is equivalent to the raw material cost of one catty of Jin Jun Mei, which costs 4,500 yuan.
This does not include processing, finishing, packaging, inspection and market development.
The production of 500gram of Jin Jun Mei requires 60-80,000 buds, and a skilled female tea picker can only pick up to 2,000 a day.
That is the reason why the price of good tea must not be low.
So, you can imagine how the quality of Jin Jun Mei on the market.
