Their home – Wuyishan Nature Reserve has a subtropical monsoon climate. This very famous natural reserve, which is 96.3% forest, provides an advantageous natural environment for Golden Eyebrow. The average altitude of the main producing area is about 1,200 meters. For almost 120 days a year, it is misty. The annual average temperature is around 11–18°C and the average precipitation about 2,000mm. The soil pH is 4.5 to 5.

Why Jin Jun Mei Black Tea is so Special?
It is made with an innovative black tea process, and only the head buds (The first bud grown in Spring) are picked. It has the characteristics of “clearness, high fragrance, sweet taste and after taste”, with a comprehensive fragrance of flower and fruit.

As the only one who creates this black tea, we have a standard process and
1. Authentic raw materials: Produced from 1200-1500 meters high mountain wild tea tree tea buds within 565 square kilometres of Wuyi Mountain National Nature Reserve with Tongmuguan as the center. It takes at least 60,000 to 80,000 buds to make 500 g of Jin Jun mei.
2. Authentic craftsmanship: Zheng Shan Tang is the founding enterprise of Jin Jun mei. All products are supervised by Mr. Yuanxuan Jiang, creator of this black tea, with black tea innovative craftsmanship.
3. Certified organic by BCS in Germany, NOP in the United States, and JAS in Japan, safe, clean and assured
4. In China, Zheng Shan Tang is one of the standard-setters of China’s Jin Junmei industry, guaranteeing the quality of tea.
Transparent Pricing / True Cost of Jin Jun Mei
The raw material of Jin Jun Mei originates from the national nature reserve of Wuyi Mountain, and the altitude needs to be within the range of 1200-1500 to be authentic Jin Jun Mei.
Due to the reputation of Zheng Shan Tang in Tongmu, most of the tea farmers here will sell the tea green to Zheng Shan Tang.
Even so, the purchase price of a catty of fresh leaves is up to 900 yuan (RMB).
2.5kg of fresh leaves makes 500gram of dry tea.
This is equivalent to the raw material cost of one catty of Jin Jun Mei, which costs 4,500 yuan.
This does not include processing, finishing, packaging, inspection and market development.
The production of 500gram of Jin Jun Mei requires 60-80,000 buds, and a skilled female tea picker can only pick up to 2,000 a day.
That is the reason why the price of good tea must not be low.
So, you can imagine how the quality of Jin Jun Mei on the market.
Many unscrupulous businessmen in order to make money, the low mountain tea, flat tea for high mountain tea for sale, the Kongfu black tea for lapsang souchong, Jin Jun Mei for sale, the foreign black tea for Wuyi Mountain black tea for sale, and even more, the black tea wrapped in syrup, just to make the tea soup drink sweeter.
Our Sui Gong Ancient Tea Tree Pu-erh was using the “one-bud-two-leaves”, spring, large and sun-dried Shaiqinmao tea leaves, belonging to the Yunnan big-leaf variety, in Menghai area, produced by He He Chang tea factory.
He He Chang tea factory was established in 2010, it is a nationally renowned high-class Pu-erh tea brand. “High quality, original, ecology and ancient tea tree spring tea” is its tea-making philosophy.
Silver Needle White Tea is a well-known Chinese white tea, but very expensive due to a very small yield. It is produced in Fujian province in China, using the most delicate buds picked when the very first tea leaves are appearing in the spring. Only the buds are used – no leaves or stem at all.
The Silver Needle White Tea bud is large，strong and fat. It is long and straight and covered in a pale, silvery-white fuzz resembling a white coat. The tea tastes very fresh and light, with a hint of fresh smoke and fruit and an aroma of wildflowers combined with a hint of honey. It has a long-lasting, sweet aftertaste.
Picking methods are complex, even for an extremely experienced tea worker. A day’s yield will not exceed 50kg.

YULIN Company is very famous for its handmade ancient pu-erh tea, the material of its pu-erh mostly is pure ancient pu-erh tea tree leaves and only the freshest tea leaves are chosen instead of low-quality Shaiqinmao tea leaves (Yunan big-leaf variety). YULIN’s lowest picking standard is “one bud two leaves”, which means they are very strict with the quality of their pu-erh tea. Some of their pu-erh tea cakes are even made with the “one bud one leaf” standard.
During the production process, they only allow local ethnic-minority masters who know the local ancient pu-erh tea trees best to make pu-erh tea cakes in their villages. All YULIN pu-erh teas are handmade.
