About Taiwan Fragrant Oolong Tea

The tea comes from the mid-to-high-altitude slopes of the Lishan region in Taiwan, grown in the outer high-mountain zone where the cool, misty climate slows leaf growth and enhances natural floral sweetness.

Produced with traditional oolong methods using light fermentation and light roasting, it maintains a clean, pure character. Skilled producers control oxidation and heat precisely, resulting in a bright, clear liquor with the balanced profile typical of Lishan-style high-mountain tea.

Smooth, fresh, and easy to drink, this tea is well suited for everyday enjoyment, whether brewed hot or cold.

*The leaves are sourced from organically managed tea gardens. Grown without the use of chemical pesticides.

Appearance & Taste

Taiwan Fragrant Oolong Tea

The dry leaves are tightly rolled with a green-yellow tint and a light sheen. After brewing, they soften and open fully, showing the freshness of high-mountain spring tea.

The aroma is clean and layered, with subtle light roast and cinnamon, followed by osmanthus, gentle wood and milky notes, and soft pear- and peach-like sweetness. A light orchid finish lingers pleasantly.

The liquor is smooth and delicate with a slight viscosity, offering mild, lasting sweetness and a cooling finish. Its elegant, balanced character makes it suitable for daily drinking.

Origin

Taiwan Alishan

This tea comes from the mid-to-high-altitude slopes of the Lishan region in Taiwan, part of the Central Mountain Range. The environment is cool and misty with a pronounced day-night temperature contrast. The mineral-rich and organic-rich soil supports slow, steady growth, giving the tea its clean aroma and gentle, lingering finish.

The tea material is harvested from the outer high-mountain zone of Lishan. The environment is similar to the core production area but slightly milder, resulting in a softer, lighter aromatic profile with natural sweetness and a subtle cooling note.

Picking and Production

Picking Tea

The tea is picked in early spring when the Lishan climate is still cool and misty. Tender buds are hand-harvested, selecting one bud with two or three leaves for balanced quality.

After sun-withering and indoor resting, the leaves are gently tossed to create light oxidation and develop floral and fruity notes. Using traditional oolong techniques with careful control of fermentation and heat, the tea produces a soft, clean liquor that stays fragrant and sweet through multiple infusions, reflecting the character of high-mountain fragrant oolong.
