About Baiying Mountain Ergazi Pu-erh Raw Loose Leaf Tea

This Baiying Mountain Ergazi hundred-year old tree raw Pu-erh loose leaf tea comes from the Baiying Mountain tea area in Manwan Town, Yunnan Province. The leaves are sourced from organically managed, high-mountain tea gardens at an altitude of over 2,000 metres, using spring-picked fresh leaves from tea trees approximately 110 years old.

Ergazi is one of the traditional local tea tree types native to Baiying Mountain. Its leaves are thick in texture with rich internal content. Compared with tea tree types that tend toward heavier or more aggressive styles, Ergazi places greater emphasis on the raw tea’s inherent elegant floral aroma and natural mountain character.

The dry leaves are naturally stretched with clear layering, ranging from deep to dark green, and show a clean, natural appearance with thick leaves and defined stems.

After brewing, the liquor is clear and bright, orange-yellow with a light amber hue. The aroma features refined floral notes with subtle mountain character, while the palate is mellow and sweet with good energy, a smooth texture, building depth, and a lingering finish.

Picking and Production

Picking Tea

The tea is harvested in spring, using tender shoots from Ergazi tea trees to ensure vitality and integrity of the raw material. After picking, the leaves are processed following traditional raw Pu-erh methods, including natural withering, fixation, rolling, and drying. Throughout the process, careful attention is paid to preserving the leaf’s internal qualities and controlling the pace of transformation.
