这款祁门毛峰产自安徽祁门县的核心高山茶区，是祁门红茶体系中最具代表性的品种之一。当地位于北纬30度黄金产茶带，海拔约600–800米，云雾常年环绕，昼夜温差大，土壤为富含矿物质的红壤与砂质壤土，非常适合槠叶种茶树生长。槠叶种叶质肥厚、内含物丰富，长期云雾滋养使其富含香叶醇、芳樟醇等芳香前体物质，形成祁门红茶独有的花果香、蜜香与轻木香交融的“祁门香”。
祁门毛峰采用早春精选芽叶制成，条索紧细秀长，色泽乌润，隐显金毫，干香带有独特的祁门香。自清末问世以来便声名远扬，早在1915年巴拿马万国博览会上获得金奖，被誉为“红茶皇后”。

祁门县以高香红茶著称百余年，是世界公认的祁门红茶核心产区。优越的生态与传统工艺共同造就了祁门毛峰清雅花果香与醇和茶汤的典型风格。

祁门毛峰讲究“早、嫩、净、匀”，多在清明前后采一芽一叶初展的新梢，要求匀整不伤，并在采后及时薄摊，保持鲜叶活性。萎凋采用竹编萎凋槽，让鲜叶在通透竹篾上缓慢均匀失水，使芳香物质充分转化，为清雅的“祁门香”打下基础。
揉捻以轻压慢揉，使条索成形不碎叶；发酵在恒温恒湿环境中进行，使叶色由绿转红、花果蜜香渐次显露。最终以低温分段烘焙定型，通过初烘、回潮、复烘与提香，使水分与香气达到平衡，形成汤感细腻、香气纯净柔和的典型祁门毛峰风格。
